I crochetd an elephant for my teacher beacuse he and his wife are having a baby.. Isnt the elphant sooo cute??:

The elephant pattern was made by me after looking at several petterns..
Here's how (u need 2 colours):
::BODY::
To Start: Ch2 using colour #1 (leave a 3ft tail of yarn when u begin)
Rd1: 6sc in 2nd ch from hk, mm (move marker)(6sc)
Rd2: 2sc in each sc, mm (12sc)
Rd3: *2sc in next sc, sc in next sc* rep all the way ard, mm (18sc)
Rd4: *2sc in next sc, sc in next 2sc* rep all the way ard, mm (24sc)
Rd5: *2sc in next sc, sc in next 3sc* rep all the way ard, mm (30sc)
Rd6: *2sc in next sc, sc in next 4sc* rep all the way ard, mm (36sc)
Rd7: *2sc in next sc, sc in next 5sc* rep all the way ard, mm (42sc)
Rd 8-17: sc in each sc around
Rd18: *Sc2tog, sc in sext 5scs* rep all the way ard, mm (36sc)
Rd19: *Sc2tog, sc in sext 4scs* rep all the wat ard, mm (30sc)
*Sc2tog, sc in sext 3scs* rep all the way ard, mm (24sc)
Rd20: *Sc2tog, sc in sext 2 scs* rep all the way ard, mm (18sc)
Rd21: *Sc2tog, sc in sext 1 scs* rep all the way ard, mm (12sc)
Attach 8mm eyes and stuff the body, DO NOT FASTEN
::TRUNK::
Rd22-33: sc in each sc ard (u can add or subtract rounds depending on trunk length u want..)
FASTEN OFF and stuff
::TRUNK TIP::
To Start: ch2 using colour#2
Rd1: 6sc in 2nd sc from hk
FASTEN OFF leaving tail for attaching
Attach this to the tip of the trunk to seal it off
::EARS::
Using colour #2 make a basic 1/2 circle
Row1: ch6
Row2: ch 1, turn, *sc in next sc, 2sc in next sc*x3(9 sc)
Row3: ch 1, turn, *sc in next 2scs, 2sc in next sc*x3 (12 sc)
Row4: ch 1, turn, *sc in next 3scs, 2sc in next sc*x3(15 sc)
Row5: ch 1, turn, *sc in next 4sc, 2sc in next sc*x3 (18 sc)
FASTEN OFF, attach to body (make 2) (leave tail to fasten)
::FEET::
To Start: Ch2 using colour #2
Rd1: 6sc in 2nd ch from hk, mm (move marker)(6sc)
Rd2: 2sc in each sc, mm (12sc)
Rd3-6: Using Colour #1 sc ineach sc ard
FASTEN OFF, stuff, attach to body (make 4) (Leave tail to fasten)
::TAIL::
1) Use tail end coming out of the back
2) Chain desired length
3) Sew up down up down through each chain back to the base of the elephant (butt)
4) Use hook to pull base of tail into the butt end
5) Sew it inside and fasten off
